Her approach

Care built around the whole person.

Deanna Egenburg, MD is the physician owner and lead psychiatrist at Momentum Modern Psychiatry, a boutique outpatient psychiatric practice in Marlboro, New Jersey. She founded Momentum to address a gap she saw in outpatient psychiatry: high-quality, personalized care has become increasingly hard to find, with many patients experiencing brief appointments, rotating providers, and fragmented treatment.

Momentum is her answer — a physician-led practice with longer visits, a smaller patient panel, and direct access to the treating psychiatrist. This structure allows Dr. Egenburg to develop a genuine understanding of each patient’s history, goals, and needs, and to create treatment plans that are thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in continuity of care.

Dr. Egenburg works with adults, particularly busy professionals and high-functioning individuals, who want a more thoughtful, discreet, and modern approach to their mental health. Her clinical approach emphasizes careful evaluation, collaborative treatment planning, and care that considers the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

Dr. Egenburg attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Health. She then earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.

Following medical school, Dr. Egenburg completed her psychiatry residency training at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, New Jersey, one of the largest behavioral health hubs in the United States. During residency, she served as Chief Resident for Outpatient Psychiatric Services, where she supported outpatient clinical operations, resident education, and the delivery of thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric care.

Through extensive training and psychiatric exposure, Dr. Egenburg developed a deep respect for mental well-being and remains dedicated to the highest standard of patient care.
