FAQ

Questions, answered.

A few of the things new patients most often ask. If yours isn't here, just reach out.

Do you accept insurance?+

Not currently — Momentum is an out-of-network, self-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. However, Dr. Egenburg can provide you with a detailed superbill after your visit that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.

How do fees and payment work?+

Momentum is a self-pay practice, with payment due at the time of service. We don't bill insurance directly, but we can provide a detailed superbill you can submit to your insurer for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reach out anytime and we'll gladly walk you through current fees.

Do you offer telehealth?+

Yes. Secure telepsychiatry visits are available when clinically appropriate, offering flexibility while maintaining the same standard of care. Your initial evaluation is preferably conducted in person.

Who do you treat?+

Momentum provides outpatient psychiatric care for adults, with a focus on professionals and high-functioning individuals seeking a more personalized, discreet approach to mental health care.

What happens at my first appointment?+

Your first visit is a 60-minute comprehensive evaluation. Dr. Egenburg reviews your psychiatric, medical, family, and psychosocial history to reach an accurate diagnosis and develop an individualized treatment plan with you.

How often will I be seen?+

Most patients are seen monthly, with a minimum of one visit every three months depending on clinical stability and treatment needs — enough to ensure continuity and the best possible outcomes.

What is your cancellation policy?+

We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule. Missed or late-cancelled appointments may be subject to a fee, the specifics of which are shared with you at intake. If more than six months pass without a missed appointment, your history resets.

Is my information kept confidential?+

Yes. Your privacy is protected under HIPAA, and the practice uses secure, HIPAA-compliant systems for records, scheduling, communication, and payments.
